AmpliTest Tick-borne Diseases

(Real Time PCR)

BAC13-100

Diagnostic test AmpliTest Tick-borne Diseases Real Time PCR) allows detection in one reaction the DNA sequence specific for bacteria from Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato group, bacteria from the genera Anaplasma and Ehrlichia as well as from selected species from the genus Babesia (B. canis, B. gibsoni, B. divergens) from the DNA preparations obtained from animal samples (tick, mammal’s tissue).

The Real Time PCR is a fourplex-type. The FAM channel serves for detection of the DNA sequence specific for bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi, Cy5 serves for detection of the DNA sequence specific for selected protozoans Babesia, whereas Anaplasma/Ehrlichia-specific DNA sequences are detected in the Texas Red channel. Whereas, the HEX channel is reserved for monitoring of the internal control amplification. Additionally, diagnostic panel contains negative and positive controls allowing to monitor the whole aspects of the Real Time PCR. Positive control was obtained using genetic engeeniring.
