The AmpliTest MycoplasmaVet (Real Time PCR) kit allows detection of DNA sequences specific for several pathogenic bacteria of the Mycoplasma genus: M. arginini, M. bovigenitalium, M. canis, M. edwardii, M. cynos, M. felis, M. gateae, M. maculosum, M. molare, M. opalescens, M. spumans. These bacteria are animal pathogens, including dogs, cats and cows. They cause respiratory and genitourinary infections, as well as conjunctivitis and arthritis. In rare cases, they can cause miscarriages, hemolytic anemia, and even meningitis.
The AmpliTest MycoplasmaVet (Real Time PCR) kit is designed to detect DNA sequences specific for Mycoplasma in DNA preparations obtained from tissues of infected animal. The Real Time PCR reaction is a duplex-type. Bacterial DNA is detected in the FAM channel. The second channel (HEX) serves for detection of the internal control. Controls included into the test (recombinant DNAs) allow for monitoring the correctness of the Real Time PCR reaction.
