AmpliTest Anaplasma phagocytophilum (Real Time PCR)

BAC09-100

Anaplasma phagocytophilum is an obligatory intracellular parasite similar in structure to Rickettsia, attacking granulocytes. It is a cosmopolitan species. It mainly causes animal anaplasmosis (AGA) in farmed and wild ruminants, equidae and canidae. In humans, it causes human anaplasmosis (HGA). Transmission factors are ticks of the genera Ixodes and Dermacentor. In Poland, it is almost exclusively the common tick (Ixodes ricinus).

AmpliTest Anaplasma phagocytophilum (Real Time PCR) test is designed to detect DNA sequences specific for bacteria Anaplasma phagocytophilum in DNA samples obtained from tissues of infected animal (mammal or tick). The Real Time PCR reaction is a duplex-type. Bacterial DNA is detected in the FAM channel. The second channel (HEX) serves for detection of the internal control. Controls included into the test (rekombinant DNAs) allow for monitoring the correctness of the Real Time PCR reaction.
