AmpliTest Microsporum spp.

(Real Time PCR)

BAC38-100

Microsprum is a genus of dermatophytes causing microbial mycosis. Small-spore mycosis is an infectious disease of the scalp. In Poland, it is most often caused by Microsporum canis , a fungus transmitted by cats and dogs. Infections occur primarily in children and they have the nature of skin peels. The characteristic symptom is the presence of oval foci with hair broken evenly at a height of 2-3 mm above the skin surface. The skin in the foci of infection usually shows no signs of inflammation.

AmpliTest Microsporum spp. (Real Time PCR) test is designed to detect DNA sequences specific for Microsporum genus, in DNA samples obtained from tissues of infected animal or human. The Real Time PCR reaction is a duplex-type. Fungal DNA is detected in the FAM channel. The second channel (HEX ) serves for detection of the internal control. Controls included into the test (rekombinant DNAs) enable control of the correct course of the Real Time PCR reaction.
